RI Campfire Announcements

Hi Scouts,
On 19 April, RV Scouts is going for Raffles' Campfire.
And so Ms Huang wants a performance (~10minutes) from the troop. Take the weekend to think about it for ideas for the performance and I hope it can include the whole troop's participation. For more infomation, please contact your repective PLs. PLs, direct the questions to me, I'll post up the responses on the blog for others reference too. I recommend you all discuss about it in your levels so each level will have to perform for around 3min plus.

Some food for thought

First off, I would like to say that this is not my style to rant like this, but the behavior of some certain people is seriously pissing me off.
I trusted you all with the hike logistics and what does one person do, he goes and lose the map. Do you know how much work that has went in to the making the map. I can also see the irresponsibility in the maintenance of our equipment. Admittedly, I am also inexperienced since I just got the role of QM, and I'm quite fresh. However, the troop should be more responsible and not skip on important events such as building the flagpole every Thursday, or even perhaps not to slack in CCAs. I am tanking the flagpole, filling in for those who are not coming for some crap reason and calling up fellow PLC members to come and help. I agree that there are some people who have valid reasons, but some people really have given really crap reasons such as tests. You think that the PLCs do not have tests? You think that the PLCs dont have to juggle their personal life? Some of us stay up really late to plan things such as the Tuesday's CCA schedule, but some of you all just do not care and just slack. You all can don't give respect to me, but at least give some respect to my fellow PLC members, or the IC at that time. We are trying to accommodate all of you, but there can be no perfect solution. It really angers me when you all are just fooling around when some one like Xin Ning or Wayne is trying to get attention when some of you all just do not want to listen. You all say that you all want to be released at 6pm, but that is impossible at the rate we do things, punishments or even some people slacking off. I am really burned out and I really hope that you all can share my sentiments and aim to improve this scout troop. We may be in the probation PLC, and that can change anytime, but we are trying our 110% into this job and we really aim to improve our standards and altogether repair the reputation that our troop has gained throughout the years.

Saturday, 8 March 2014

welcome!

Hi fellow troop mates;
this blog will be used in the future for CCA announcements and stuff like that. ( We're trying this new idea out)  So please do check out this space often as messages will not be sent from your PLs anymore but you are to check them here. Please be responsible users of the internet. The reason why we decided to try this out as the messaging system will require your PLs to send mass messages which cost a lot of money and also to those people who don't reply on time. Also please do leave constructive feedback in the tagboard. Thanks! :)
